Macromolecules

A macromolecule is a very large molecule with a relatively large mass, which properties remain unaffected by the removal of individual atoms or groups of atoms. DNA, proteins or lipids are typical naturally occurring macromolecules, such as synthetic polymers like plastics or synthetic rubber.
